The storks must be busy (",)
The
storks must be really busy! Attended so many baby manyue parties that i lost count. This is the third baby present i bought this month, in addition to Mothercare vouchers and a nice toy from Lamaze. We are also getting the mummy bird's nest from Eu Yan Sang so i was left with a $10 budget to get a gift for the baby. This aunty managed to get this real cute pink dress and matching booties all for $11.40! Must pat myself on the back

Puff pastry
Got a pack of Sunshine puff pastry and canned cherries...to try my hand at making danish pastry for breakfast

Here's a pic of it in the oven, was too gan cheong and ate the finished product before i could take a pic!
Made the balance into a pie although short-crust pastry would have been more suitable =D
Breakfast Pancakes
Made pancakes for breakkie last Sunday

This recipe i got off the internet makes 4 medium sized pancakes, just nice for the 2 of us
Ingredients
1 large egg
1 cup self-raising flour (sifted)
3/4 cup milk (i like to use Oat milk)
1 tbsp sugar or brown sugar (optional)
2 tbsp vegetable oil
Method
Beat egg with hand whisk until fluffy
Stir in remaining ingredients and mix till batter is smooth
Grease non-stick pan with butter and heat
You can test if the pan is ready by sprinkling a few drops of water, its ready when the bubbles jump around
Use slightly > than 1 ladle of batter for each pancake
Turn pancake when they are bubbly on top, puffed and dry around the edges
Cook other side until golden brown
I served the pancakes with mayple syrup, butter, canned peaches/fruit, banana and toasted almond flakes...a filling and satisfying breakfast!

*Blog layout still under construction!*
Stepping cautiously into the blogging world and peeking at other people's blogs (^ 。^)
My first blog entry has to be about my hamster Cupcake who has just passed away on 19 Jul...i miss him so and still unconsciously look at the spot where we usually place his home. This was the photo i took of him just before we left the house on Sat, the day he passed away...no signs at all
